I am often asked what is event photography. 

Wikipedia states it as: Event photography is the practice of photographing guests and occurrences at any Event or occasion where one may hire a photographer for. This is a coverage that is used around the world at occasions such as weddings, christenings, naming ceremonies, parties, birthdays, formals, dances, ceremonies, award ceremonies, funerals, meals and engagements.

An event photographer is when someone like me armed with the skills and equipment captures emotions, reactions and memories in high-pressured environments. We often need to work in environments where we need to think on our feet to respond to changes in lighting, event agendas and the needs of the client.

As an event photographer, I cover most events which involve people. This includes both corporate and charity events as well as private functions. When it comes to corporate or charity events, the following is not an exhaustive list but gives you an idea. Events may include conferences, talks, meetings, workshops, lunches, awards dinners, end of year events.

Some of the clients and organisations I have provided photos for include: Tate &  Lyle, Maggies, Red Cross, Newham Chamber of Commerce, Economy of Hours, PMI UK, NASSA, British Land Plc, and Holiday Inn. 

In terms of private events, I cover most personal/family events. This may include: Birthdays, Engagement shoots, Post Weddings shoots, Weddings. Again this is not a complete list. I am available for most family'private events.

I generally charge half day and full day rates. I do appreciate that some events may fall outside these parameters, therefore I am able to quote specifically for your event that works for you and your budget. I also appreciate most people don't relish having their photo taken so I take great care in making people feel as relaxed as possible at events.
